What Are You Thankful For?

1. I am thankful that I have family that love me

2. I am thanful to have a God that loves me and knows my every move.

3. I a thankful to have friends to lean on when the going gets tough

4.I am thanful that God has blessed me enough abilities to graduate high school, and go to college.

5. I am thanful God has given me a wonderful college to attend, with many amazing people to help me.

Once again I feel God pulling on me, tugging at my heart and asking me, "Why aren't you giving all, why aren't you reaching out to those that are lost, why aren't you teaching others about him. We are all the body of Christ and it is our job to teach others. I like "Why aren't his feet going" and "Why is his love not showing them there is a way". It is our job as believers to help others. To reach out to the lost. I feel like Im beating this over and over again but maybe that's because I am still making myself get it.

What is God calling us to do? His he calling us to missions, he is calling us to youth, is he calling us to preach, or teach, or work in the medical field. No matter where we go in life God always has a purpose for us. What is your purpose?
 

When God Calls

When God Calls will you answer? It's such a simple yes or no question. You are either living your life for Christ or you are not. You are either all in or all out. There not in between with God. We must give completely of ourselves to him.

Two unique opportunities have arisen in my life over the last few days. One of them is that I have been given an opportunity to Travel with CCH to Mexico to build a house for a family in need. I was so excited when I heard about this that I began calling family and friends to work towards raising the money to go.

As I continued to do more research I found out that cbs calls one of the cities we may be going to "The Murder Capital of the World". This caused me to have fear about this trip, but then I got to Think Christ layed down his life for us, so that we may live, and we ought to be like Christ, and lay our life’s down as well. Bow I’m not saying I want to die, I am just saying that that is the time of commitment God wants from us, to give our lives to him, and have complete faith and trust and him.

As I continue to pray I am finding myself ease up more and more. I talk to others who have gone through the same struggles and it helps. It really does.

Another unique opportunity that has arisen. I have been offered a chance to participate in something I have been waiting all semester to here. I am going to be given the opportunity to serve God in a way I never thought possible. God has called me to an organization right here on campus to serve as a positive and moral role model for brothers. I don't want to mess this up and I pray that God would help me stay the course and not fall out of sight of his will. I pray that he opens my eyes and uses me as a tool for him.

As I sat down this verse came to me:

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

EPH 2:10

I believe this is God speaking to me and telling me that I need to go out there and do is work. To stop hiding in the crowd, to stop locking myself and my room and being selfish in him really. It’s time for me to go out and change lives.

Hello and Welcome ;

                

I have decided to follow a few others and start blogging. Its not that I am a follower but rather a leader and I think that there are some awesome possibilities through blogging. I've decided to start the blog off by introducing myself. 

My name is Ryan Davis and I am a freshmen at Trine University. I am majoring in Elementary Education. I grew up in the small community of Winchester. My parents separated when I was a freshmen in high school and life has never been the same since. I've been in an up hill battle with God trying to figure him out, trying to do his will, and trying to just be a better person. The biggest question weighing on my heart is: Am I trying to a better person to be self-pleasing and to have some self empowerment or am I really living my life for God. The Bible says that we are not to boast about the things we do but rather do them in darkness for the Lord will see this and bless you. 

I want to use this blog as a tool to reach out to others who may be experiencing the same things I am. To those that are lost in this world and feel like no one is there to care for you. I care. We were never promised that God was going to make our life easy or that we would be able to sail through life. There are going to be challenges and the only way we can overcome this is to look at ourselves and examine where we are with Him.
